Manuscript. Two motets for bass voice and instruments, copied in score; copyist unidentified, presumably German, mid-late 17th century.

Upright format, 337 x 215 mm. 18 folios, in two gatherings: the first of eight nested bifolios (= 16 folios), the second (using paper with printed staves) a single bifolio. Foliation is in modern pencil. No trace remains of any early binding; no early bookplate. Now within an early 20th-century folder of stiff card and vellum with ties. 19th-century shelfmark: K.3.69.

Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item H20, as 'Lat[in]: Hymns' (later addition: 'Di J. Rosen Muller'), and in Dowding (main hand) as 'Miserere in score 3. voc. 2 violin & Organ. Rosenmuller. MS'.
