Manuscript. Bass voice-part and continuo for [Johann Rosenmüller], motet 'Miserere mei, Deus'. Copyist unidentified; English, late 17th century. Probably derived from the score in Mus. 764, which is copied in a different hand.

Upright format, 330 x 210 mm. 8 folios; collation unclear on account of the tightness of the binding. Paginated in modern pencil. Unused ruled staves on p. 16. Contemporary wrappers of thin grey card, now within an early 20th-century binding of red cloth over boards, quarter bound in red leather. Bookplate 2. 19th-century shelfmark: K.2.59.

Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item H17, as 'Miserere a 2 viol: 1 alt &c.', qualified in Dowding (main hand) as 'Rosenmuller. MS'. The shelfmark H.17 is written on the outside upper original wrapper.
