Mus. 386Manuscript. [Giovanni] P[aolo] Fusetti, 'In te Domine speravi' for 4 voices, 2 violins and continuo. Score; copyist unidentified, presumably Italian, late 17th century. Oblong format, 303 x 155 mm. Gathering of 8 nested bifilios (= 16 folios), followed by a single leaf; 17 folios in total. Foliation is in modern pencil. No early bookplate. Early 20th-century binding of grey card and vellum; no trace remains of any earlier binding. 19th-century shelfmark: I.4.98. Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, position G10, as 'A Set of C[hur]ch Music in Lat[in]'; in Mus. 386 itself, the shelfmark 'G.10' is written in ink on a label pasted to f. 17v. The item was subsequenlty moved to position M.4.3, where it is listed as part of the following entry in Dowding (main hand): 'Anthems viz. Cum Invocarem &c. In te Domine speravi. Exurgite Mortales, &c. & a Magnificat all with Instrumts del Revdo. P. Fusetti. M.S. in score. look well.' (See below for the other manuscripts to which this entry refers.)
