Provenance: bought at auction in Oxfordshire in 1992 (in a lot comprising the items now designated as Mus. 1287-91); earlier provenance undocumented. Stab-holes imply that the partbook has at some time been bound. Annotations: bass part of a textless composition added on blank staves on sig. C3. C19th/20th jottings in pencil.

Upright format, 205 x 150 mm. Unbound and loose in sections. Sigs. A1 and A2 are detached from one another, with sig. A2 glued to a C19th protective paper wrapper.
