Mus. 1154(G)

Manuscript. 'All things are hush'd', for three voices and continuo, copied by Richard Goodson Sr; possibly an autograph composing score. English, late 17th century.

Upright format, 327 x 207 mm. Bifolio; foliation is modern. An earlier copy of the same trio has been abandoned on the outer pages of the bifolio (starting on f. 1r inverted), which are otherwise blank ruled staves. Formerly folded twice horizontally. Now pasted into a modern card folder, and mounted impermanently on a cord within an early 20th-century folder of stiff card and vellum containing all 13 sections of Mus. 1154.

Provenance unknown. Formerly shelved within the Portfolios at position I.2.δ (the reference 'I.2.δ' is written in red crayon on f. 1v). In Havergal Summary, the contents of that portfolio are described only in summary as '7 Latin motetts; 5 Italian cantatas, & 2 fragments; & 8 Songs & Duets &c: Anon: MS.'

Microfilm: manuscript music, reel 60.
