Mus. 1142b (ff. 54-5)

Manuscript. Basso continuo part for an unidentified work for voices and instruments, probably an ode. Copyist unidentified (see below); English, late 17th century.

Upright format, 380 x 243 mm. Bifolio, paginated '1-4' in contemporary ink in the order ff. 55v, 54r, 54v, 55r. Bound into Mus. 1142b, an early 20th-century guardbook of stiff card and vellum. No early bookplate.

Provenance unknown. Possibly shelved within the Portfolios at position I.2.ε, which according to Havergal Summary included '5 odes in English, 4 in Latin', although the reference 'I.2.ε' is not written on Mus. 1142b (ff. 54-5) itself.
