Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item I21, as 'Phallesi's Musica divina', qualified in Dowding (main hand) as 'Antw. 1588 à 4. 5. 6. 7 voc.', followed by a list of the composers. In the mid C18th, four partbooks from an unrelated 1583 edition of the same title (now Mus. 1068-71) were added at the I21 shelfmark; the entry in Archives 1717 has been emended by Hind to read '5 Books'.

Oblong format, 217 x 173 mm. Early C20th binding of limp vellum with ties; no trace remains of any earlier binding or wrapper. No early bookplate. C19th shelfmark: I.4.36. Formerly Mus. 324, Mus. 639 and Mus. 1034.
