Manuscript. 'A Song / Since I have seen Lucindas Charms. / Compos'd / By / James [= Jakob] Kremberg / For 1. Treble, 1. Flute, and a Harpsichord'; autograph score and flute part; English, late 17th century. (For another Kremberg autograph, see Mus. 767.)

Oblong format, 205 x 162 mm. Flute part (f. 1; single sheet, blank on verso), followed by score for voice and continuo (ff. 2-5; 2 nested bifolios; f. 5v is blank). Contemporary wrappers of thin paper; the outside upper cover bears the annotation reproduced above. Bookplate 2. The whole now within an early 20th-century binding of limp vellum with ties. 19th-century shelfmark: I.4.83. Formerly Mus. 371.

Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item I3, as 'A Song by James Cremburgh', annotated by a later hand to read 'Kremburg'.
