Oblong format, c. 190 x 140 mm. Late C16th or early C17th bindings
of brown leather over boards; the upper and lower covers of
all six partbooks are gold-tooled with fillets, and a central
panel flanked by the initials 'I G'; spines gold-tooled with
small ornaments between the raised bands. Fragments of green
ties at fore-edges. Lower inside cover of Mus. 973 annotated
'7: setts' in a late C16th or early C17th English hand. Bookplate
2 in all volumes. 19th-century shelfmarks: F.1.7-12.
