Upright format, 295 x 225 mm. Eight gatherings, each of two nested bifolios; 32 folios in total; unfoliated, but the gatherings are numbered '1-8' in the upper LH opening page of each gathering. Contemporary binding of white paper over limp boards. Outside upper cover annotated 'Te Deum Del Sig. Melani'. Outside lower cover signed [Richard] 'Goodson' [?Sr]. No early bookplate. 19th-century shelfmark: Mus. I.1.49.

Provenance: from the Goodson bequest, listed in Clement 1747 as 'Te Deum. Del Sigr. Allessandro Melani / M.S in Score No. 40', and in Malchair 1787 (f. 3) as 'Te Deum for 8. Small. fol. White Cartridge / Cover Alessandro Melani'. Clement's number-label ('40') is intact on the outside upper cover.
