Provenance: inscription on verso of titlepage: 'Daniel Pearce His Book Anno Dom 1692. Dexterious Light poized hands fair writing doth require / Whereby one skillfull man makes thousands to admire'. Then part of the Goodson bequest, listed in Clement 1747 as 'Songs Mr King No. 48', and in Malchair 1787 (f. 9) as 'Songs for one two and three Voices R. King. / Servant to his Majesty'.

Upright format, 265 x 200 mm. Early 20th century binding of stiff card and vellum. Clement's number-label remains in place on the titlepage; the original number '48' has been partly obscured by the addition of the C19th shelfmark 'K.4.21'. No early bookplate.
