Upright format, 293 x 235 mm. 13 folios, paginated '1-26' by Goodson Jr (with modern pencil replacements for page-numbers trimmed by the binder). Contemporary binding of marbled paper over boards, half-bound in vellum. Inside upper cover annotated by Goodson Jr: 'The Himn of Addam and Eve - Milton / By Mr Galliard / Richard Goodson E[ius]: Liber'. Outside upper and lower covers also annotated by Goodson Jr, including accounts dated 1734. No early bookplate. 19th-century shelfmark: I.1.41.

Provenance: from the Goodson bequest. Listed in Clement 1747 as 'Adam & Eve a Hymn Mr Galliard M.S / No. 34', and in Malchair 1787 (f. 3) as 'The Himn of Adam & Eve. Small Fol. marble / cover Galliard'. Clement's number-label appears to have been removed from the outside upper cover.
