Mus. 760Manuscript. Complete set of nine performing parts for church music by Robert Creighton; English, late 17th century. The set is the work of two copyists, both of whom are unidentified; they are designated below as 'A' and 'B'.
The inventory below relates only to the 'Organ Part' (Mus. 760a). In the eight vocal parts (Mus. 760b-i), item 1 occupies pp. 1-7 (or 8), item 2 occupies p. 8 (or 9). Table of titles and composers as shown in the manuscript. Display in modern form.

Formerly loose within a wrapper of marbled paper, the upper sheet of which bears a label annotated by Malchair; this wrapper is now bound into the volume. Bookplate 2. Early 20th-century binding of stiff card and vellum. 19th-century shelfmark: K.3.65. Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item H15, as 'Dr Crayghtons Service', qualified in Dowding (main hand) as being 'MS'. The shelfmark 'H.15' is written in ink on the inside upper original wrapper. Microfilm: manuscript music, reel 29.
