Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Dowding (main hand) at shelfmark M.3.3; a full listing of the tracts is given there. Earlier provenance unknown.

Upright format, 230 x 163 mm. Mid C17th bindings of brown leather over boards, untooled except for two parallel fillets at the edges; some flyleaves cut from printer's waste; fragments of ties survive at the fore-edges. List of tracts in Mus. 454 (front flyleaf) is in an unidentified mid C17th hand. Spines overstamped by Aldrich to bring the set into conformity with his other bound sets of tract volumes; for details, see comments on the 'Aldrich binding' Types. This set was allocated the position of 'MAD D' (gold-tooled on the spines, together with Aldrich's monogram and other ornaments). Bookplate 2 in all six volumes. C19th shelfmarks: I.6.9-14.
