Provenance: from the Goodson bequest, listed in Clement 1747 as 'Cantate [changed to 'Cantata'] Gio: Bononcini London 1721 No 45', with later annotations: 'wanting' (deleted) and then 'Burney'; the volume was borrowed by Dr Charles Burney in November 1778, and returned to Christ Church in December 1787, too late for it to be listed in Malchair 1787.

Oblong format, 320 x 240 mm. Early C18th binding of marbled paper over boards, edged in vellum. Inside lower cover signed 'Richard Goodson [Jr] Oxon'. Clement's number-label is missing. No early bookplate. 19th-century shelfmark: I.6.7
