Upright format, 295 x 240 mm. 93 folios, paginated in ink by Walond Sr; there are two leaves with the pagination '72' on their verso, the second of which was intended to cancel the former. Mid 18th-century binding of rough brown leather over boards; on the outside upper cover, an insert label of red leather tooled in gold gives a summary of the volume's contents. No early bookplate. 19th-century shelfmark: I.1.5.

Provenance unknown; possibly from Christ Church Cathedral or the Goodson bequest. The earliest mention this volume in the 18th-century catalogues of the Christ Church Music collections occurs in the 1778 list by Burney (f. 9v).
