Mus. 223Printed. Partitura, lacking the accompanying vocal Canto part.
Provenance: from the Aldrich bequest, listed in Archives 1717, item I13, as 'Another Piece of Gratiani', qualified in Dowding (main hand) as 'A voc. Solo. Rome 1665'. Upright format, 220 x 168 mm. Mid C17th covers of coarse grey card. The upper cover is numbered '3' in C17th ink, apparently in a numerical sequence together with Mus. 171-2 (which is numbered '1') and Mus. 173) (numbered '2'); this may imply that the volumes shared a common provenance before they entered Aldrich's collection. Shelfmark 'I.13' on inside upper cover. Bookplate 2. C19th shelfmark: I.3.131.
Microfilm: The printed music of Christ Church, Oxford, reel 8. This volume may have served as the exemplar for the manuscript copy in Mus. 7, ff. 76v-102v, made by Edward Hull.
