Upright format, 222 x 165 mm. C17th wrappers of grey paper, each partbook now stitched into a folder of modern card and mounted impermanently on cords within an early C20th folder of stiff card and vellum. Original upper covers annotated in an unidentified C17th hand: 'Messe', followed by the part-name. Shelfmark 'G.28' on original upper cover of Mus. 184; also on a label pasted to its titlepage. Bookplate 2 in Mus. 184 only. C19th shelfmarks: I.3.91-7.
