Mus. 1287Printed. Altus partbook only, lacking sig. C3.
Provenance: bought at auction in Oxfordshire in 1992 (in a lot comprising the items now designated as Mus. 1287-91); earlier provenance undocumented. In the upper right-hand corner of the titlepage, '7' added in MS, as if designating a layer of a tract volume; stab-holes imply that the partbook has indeed at some time been bound. Other annotations include (on sig. A2v, in a C17th hand) 'John Browne' (with the words 'his book' deleted), and pen-trials on the titlepage and sig. A2r. Upright format, 200 x 157 mm. Stab-sewn without wrappers or binding. Sig. D4 is torn and crudely repaired with pasted paper strips. Not in Hiff. No microfilm. This copy is not recorded in RISM.
