Manuscript. An untitled and unattributed copy of Henry Purcell, overture to ode, 'Hail, bright Cecilia', Z.328(1a-e), copied in score. Copyist unidentified; English, early 18th century.

Upright format, 333 x 210 mm. Two nested bifolios enclosing a single sheet at the centre; 5 folios in total. Foliation is modern, and supplements a contemporary pagination system of '[1]-10'. Bound into a folder of modern card, and mounted impermanently on a cord within an early 20th-century portfolio of stiff card and vellum. No early bookplate.

Provenance unknown. Formerly shelved within the Portfolios at position I.2.ε; the reference ' I.2.ε' is written in red crayon on f. 1r.
