Manuscript. [Henry Hall Sr], 'Bless Albion, bless thy stars above'; fragment of autograph score of an ode headed elsewhere as 'Song to the Queen'. English, composed 1702-7. For further details, see the remaining fragments of this work now at Mus. 1212(A).

Upright format, 330 x 207 mm. Two adjacent bifolios, each mounted on a guard; 4 folios in total. A pastedown cancel at the centre of f. 36r (staves 5-8) has not been lifted. Bound into Mus. 1142a, an early 20th-century guardbook of stiff card and vellum. No early bookplate.

Provenance unknown. Formerly shelved within the Portfolios at position I.2.ε; the reference 'I.2.ε' is written on f. 34r. In Havergal Summary, it was included under the summary heading of '5 odes in English, 4 in Latin'.
