Manuscript. Keyboard book; English, mid 17th century. Three copyists, two of them unidentified, the third Christopher Gibbons (items 10, 11, and 18-20). Items 18-20 are copied from the rear with the volume inverted.

Upright format, 295 x 195 mm. Two gatherings, each of 5 nested bifolios; 20 folios in total. Foliation is modern. Unused staves on ff. 7r, 8v-9r, 10v-13r. A pastedown cancel at the foot of f. 14r has not been lifted. No trace remains of any earlier binding. Now bound into Mus. 1142a, an early 20th-century guardbook of stiff card and vellum. No early bookplate.

Provenance unknown; not recorded in any catalogue of the Christ Church collections before the 20th century.
