HENRY ALDRICH: THE AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPTS

Introduction

The aim of this page is to list all the music manuscripts at Christ Church that were copied by Henry Aldrich, together with other manuscripts and prints that derive directly from his autograph copies. The list is divided into three categories:
  1. Aldrich's autograph sketches and drafts, either for his own compositions or for his adaptations of music by other composers.
  2. Aldrich's fair copies of his own compositions and adaptations, and of music by other composers.
  3. Other sources at Christ Church of Aldrich's compositions and adaptations, and of works spuriously attributed to Aldrich.
Brief descriptions are given below, together with hypertext links to pages that provide fuller information and inventories.
